Somnomancer
About the Record#
Somnomancer is a concept record. Across nine tracks it follows Amber, a narrator whose vocabulary degrades as the arc progresses — the language available to her narrows until, by the end, she can no longer say the thing that would save her. The songs move through a city that never sleeps, a sales pitch, a grandmother, a bar at closing time. What connects them is a voice losing the words for its own situation.
Musically it sits between industrial metal and electronic — detuned guitar and programmed drums under generated vocals. Amber’s nightmare sequence arrives in “Sweetheart,” the point where the record stops narrating her situation and drops her inside it.

Music generated with Suno — chords, arrangement, and vocal performances. Every track was prompted against written lyrics, auditioned across many takes, and cut to the ones that fit the arc; sections were re-generated and re-ordered where the sequence needed it.
The rest was built in Reaper: arrangement and structure, drum grooves, MIDI CC automation driven by stem analysis, and ambient texture passes layered under the mix.
